Web3 events and social platform Dec 2023 - Dec 2025

View work

I joined Konn3ct as a full-time frontend engineer and built most of the product surface across its four sections (map, events, chats, and collections), along with the reusable component foundation, the motion and interaction work throughout the app, and the onboarding flow that brought in 2,000+ users. I also took on fullstack features, owning them end to end.

Onboarding

Signing up needed a lot from the user before the app was useful: a referral code, wallet verification, location, an alert radius, collection selection, profile setup, terms. That's a long form, and the job was making it not feel like one. I built it as a multi-step flow with a split layout — form on the left, a right panel for interaction on some steps and visual representation on some.

Map

The home screen — an interactive globe built on the Mapbox API. I integrated the map, rendered users and events as custom pins, and implemented clustering for dense areas.

Map

Events

I built the events section: the explore layout — feeds split by collection or city, global/local filtering, upcoming/past, date grouping, — plus the full event lifecycle: creation, event details, and editing.

Event details had a chatbox attached, and I built the gallery page off the back of it — every image shared in the event chat, extracted and organised in one place.

Chats

I built the message center layout and components, handled the WebSocket integration, and shipped message editing, deletion, chat image uploads, and message pinning (which included a panel for pinned messages) end to end.

Chat page

Collections

I built the collections page — a three-panel layout with collection details, an activity feed, and chat split two ways: a verified-members-only channel and a global channel where unverified members can read and post.

I also worked the collection admin dashboard and its features.

Feedback

I have worked with Moshood for over a year building Konn3ct & he is our lead frontend dev. He is fast, capable, works independently, a grinder, upbeat, a team player, uses AI capably in his workflow, and is absolutely vital to our organization. I almost don't want to write a review bc he's so good & I want him all to ourselves, but he deserves the praise & the good things coming to him for all his hard work <3
